Building Spaces For Future Faces

Mathnasium and Larry Cook Construction both have a similar vision, which is building strong foundations that last. Taking time and making sure something is done right is crucial in every aspect of life. Whether it is constructing the interior of a building or teaching our youth valuable skillsets, these processes take time, preparation, and a great deal of consistency. In this post, we would like to share with you our experience working with the Mathnasium franchise.

Below you will see some before and after shots of the tenant finish/remodel that we did for Mathnasium’s east location here in Wichita, Kansas. This is 1 of their 1,000s of centers across the world.

BEFORE

AFTER

As you see above, what used to be a photography studio with walls and sections is now transformed into a more spacious open room concept in about 35 days. The main workload for this remodel consisted of the demolition and resurfacing of the walls & ceiling, putting in new flooring & carpet, and replacing the old plumbing. By doing so, this also allowed us to put in new LED lights, prepare and paint the walls with a level 5 surface for future decals, and have EZ Electric help us to insure the electrical met all requirements. The result turned out great and knowing the space will help our youth gain important skills for their future is the most rewarding.

We appreciated the opportunity to work alongside Rick at Mathnasium and Jeremy at EZ Electric. By keeping in contact on an almost everyday basis, the process went very smoothly. We also pulled all of the necessary licensing and permits required and made sure that the city inspected for the certificate of occupancy. These are all important points that Larry Cook Construction checks off the list to make sure we leave our clients happy and without worry.
